Frequently asked questions.

What’s the difference between a wedding planner and a wedding coordinator?

Honestly- the terms are used very interchangeably- but there are differences in focus: Planners are here to make your life easier and help you make the many many decisions involved in planning a wedding. They get involved early on in the process and give you tools like timelines, floor plans that will allow your guests to get their dinner quickly, the best Amazon links to save your money, and help you by bringing their knowledge of this field to the table! Imagine having someone on your side who knows the Hobby Lobby Sale schedule, where the best deal on bulk taper candles is, what that “special kind of tulle” that you like is actually called, what’s a reasonable price for a venue (and what is inordinately high), when or if you need to hire a caterer, what is standard practice for toast etiquette and more- that person is me. I’m also passionate about design and love putting together real-life versions of what you’ve dreamed or seen online!

Coordinators are there to execute what you have planned! So, if you’re someone who’s more excited about getting deep into the planning process AND THEN want to hand off your hard work and plans to a professional you know can execute your plans (no matter what anyone says) while you focus on being a bride, that’s a coordinator- and also me!

:) My Aspen and Not a Worry in the World Plans are Planning Packages

The Bare Bones Package is how to hire me to be your day/month-of Coordinator.

Do you do other events besides weddings?

Absolutely! If you’re hosting ANYTHING that needs logistics, aesthetics, and food- I can help. So far, my repertoire includes both adult and children’s birthday parties, retirement parties, funerals, ordinations, church events, choir launches, concerts, re-branding launches and rehearsals. Shoot me an email to see my non-wedding pricing sheet.

What about elopements, micro weddings, or destination events?

Yes. Please! I’m a military kid with extensive traveling experience, and cross-culture comfortability- so coordinating events like this are smack dab in the middle of my comfort zone. Let’s meet. I would love to show you my streamlined 11 point to-do list of “All you really need” to get married!

What’s Your Value Added to my Event?

You can hire a photographer to record your event.

You can hire a florist and get great flowers.

You can hire a DJ to make sure your dance floor is killing it…

But do you know the number one complaint against weddings? It’s the stress! The expectations, logistics, management, and money make it one of the most stressful things many people have ever done. The internet is full of articles written by brides expressing regret over not hiring someone to help manage these things. Here’s just one: Huffpost

Did you know that there’s someone you can hire to handle the stress? A jack-of-all-trades who can be who you need in the midst of this process. Someone who can enact your style without judgement and with the benefit of experience. Someone who isn’t an added family dynamic that you have to manage, but instead gives you techniques to de-escalate, organize, and save your valuable time and money.

Spoiler, It’s me!

I have a background in psychology, communications, and teaching high school, plus I’m a mom- so believe me when I say I know how to navigate stress!

I love design and have education and experience in calligraphy, typology, flower arranging, digital design, color psychology, interior design, hospitality, catering, photography, makeup, and hair, plus a passion for DIY and deal-hunting.

I have lived in multiple parts of the country but have called CO home for over 10 years, so I’m comfortable with multiple cultures as well as translating them into the language of Colorado Springs.

I love this process and I know how to remind why you’re hosting a big wedding, but also how to pivot and plan an Elopement/Micro Wedding if you want to go that route!

I know how to manage a feisty mother of the groom, how to talk to caterers, and how to make a Bridal bouquet in 15 minutes with flowers from the grocery store- if you need someone like that on your team, I’m here!

Have you heard of Jamie Wolfer….

Girl. Yes! She’s my favorite, I love her and I’ve watched every video she’s made! She is very good at what she does and If you’re looking for someone who thinks like her and has a similar style, I am it!!!

And if YOU haven’t heard of Jamie Wolfer, hop on over to Youtube and check her out!!! Seriously, she’s incredible and if I get clients who lover her, I know we’re going to gel well!

Can you work with me even if my venue has an on-site coordinator?

Absolutely! While on-site coordinators are incredible and know their space the best, they often have boundaries on how much they can help you with things like wedding prep, style, outside vendors, negotiation, and family dynamics. I’d be happy to come alongside them and work together or design a custom package with you where we plan and then hand it off to the coordinator for your big day!

Where’s your Instagram?
